Remote access doesn't work

Hi all,
I recently started using Plex. I love it except that I cannot access from outside my network. I have tried the troubleshooting for remote access but nothing has worked so far.

I have UPnP enabled and from my router configuration, I can see the port forwarding rule for plex. I have tried disabling the firewall. I have tried to manually create port forwarding… nothing has worked so far.
I am running the Plex server in a QNAP TS-251+ in version 4.3.4.0695.
I am out of ideas and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried looking in the log files to see if there are any clues there?

There was nothing there, but in the end the simplest approach worked… rebooted the QNAP and the router, and worked perfectly afterwards, no further change of configuration whatsoever…
