Remote access don't work but only for some Plex user ?

Good Morning,

I’m using Plex 1.1.2.2680 on my QNAP, I shared my lib with 2 Plex users (without plex pass).

If I go to www.plex.tv and I’m logging with my credential, and click launch, I see my server and it list all the libraries and files in it without a problem, this was working for the other users too !

Since yesterday, night it was not working anymore, so I ask one of the user to give me is credential to made test.

So from the same computer same browser and I’m outside of my local network,

1- If I log to www.plex.tv with my credential everything is fine I can access my libs and play my movies
2- If I log with the credential of the other plex user, I click Launch I see my server with the green bitmap on the right, it says loading libraries but after few seconds I received an error
There was an unexpected error loading libraries
Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems

The fact that I have no problem with my credential told me that my server and libs are reachable, why the other user that I test can’t ?. I check the web setting (mine and the one of the user) and they are the same ?

I’m running under a VPN and publish custom server access URL who are based on DDNS and are correct but they are not HTTPS, but I accept HTTP request in the server and both user also accept it in their web setting.

How can I investigate what’s going wrong ?

Can someone give me a clue ?

Best Regards,

Sylvain

Hi,

I just made another test a few seconds ago with my Android phone and the plex application. I’m still outside my local network where my PMSis running !

IF I logon in the plex app with my account I see my server and my LIBS
If I logon in the plex app with the user account it say’s that it see my server but they found no media ??

Regards,

Sylvain

Do you need more information or my setup simply dont work under VPN ?. I m under impression that custom URL is the way to go when we are using a VPN on the PMS device !?

Regards,

Sylvain

forget it ! I’ll find it myself
