I thought the issue was resolved since conversations went silent last night. Woke up this morning to still intermittent disconnecting remote access. Are there still issues being worked on?
I would like to know as well.
For about a month now My server will not allow remote connections until i simply click retry on the remote access and then it works fine for while. Usually this is after reboots but this now happed in the middle of a working day.
I run a script to restart PMS 10 minutes after a reboot, but the mid day drops are also a problem.
I’m still having issues as well. Works via lan address, but the unable to connect securely remote or even on network if using the launch plex link on site. Server settings say remote access is good.
I’m not sure if you all have the same issue but @bigw25 looks like your server certificate has not gotten a new cert. Looking at your account it shows three servers I’m guessing you actually recreate the server at some point but just want to make sure. Two seem to have the same local IP
You should see them in https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms I’m guessing it is the one without a number at the end of the name that is on an Asus windows computer but wanted to make sure.
Are the other ones being used or just old records?
@angler082133 The cert looks fine on your server are you still having issues? might need server logs from after it loses remote access.
@J-Bo your cert also looks fine but does not look like remote access is enabled. Have you rebooted everything including router?
@BigWheel Correct, no number on the end of the active server and it is on an Asus. I deleted the old ones at the link you shared. I did rebuild the server yesterday morning in an attempt to fix the issue I was having (also remote access but different symptom).
@bigw25 I reset your cert but but does not look like it is getting a new one automatically. You might just need to restart things.
What ISP do you have? Are they using CGNAT? Mayneed to see new logs.
Just saw new cert appear. are things working?
Yep, it works now. Thank you!
I have rebooted router and modem. Still no remote access. I thought it was OK but realized I was using relay. Ip said no issues showing and I have port forward available through them. My router has always had ipv6 disabled. I turned that on and I lost local connection to my server as well. Disable again and I have local but still no remote. I toggled UPnP on and off. No success. Kind of lost.
@J-Bo Probably going to need to see server logs. Feel free to message them to me if you don’t want to post them in this thread
@J-Bo It looks like your router UPnP is failing to map the port. Have you tried manually port forwarding?
Apr 10, 2026 13:17:08.389 [26764] WARN - NAT: UPnP, error mapping port <mod removed> error: Action Failed, controlURL: <mod Removed>
I did try that. I can try again.
I can reset the cert just to rule that out if you want me to.
We could try that. I did manual port forward and it shows green briefly then disconnects.
hmm. ok. it does show as enabled now on our end but reseting should not hurt anything.
ok it is reset.
I restarted the PC. Still no remote access. Crazy stuff.
OK since it shows as connected on our end now, even though not working for you, that means something changed. can you grab the server logs again
