Remote access issues with latest update + beta

Server Version#: 1.18.8.2468

I am unable to keep the remote status on the server Available.
After a refresh or 10-15 seconds the server will say that the remote service is not available out side of my network

if someone can point me in the directions for the logs that need to be posted im more than happy to help.
I went from latest update then to Beta to see if that would resolve my issues with no success.
One other issue i was having after i updated plex was that the remote access was saying one or more devices have jumbo packets, which has never been enabled on any of my devices, but that error has since disappeared and it is now just saying service is not accessible.

Since you are using the manual method, have you set up a port forward in your router?

Yup, port is forwarded, and it was working fine until i did an update earlier today
Also tried using a different port, with no success

Restart PMS, let it run without doing anything for 3 minutes. Then grab the logs and upload them here.

Which logs do you need?Plex Media Server.log (176.9 KB)
i assume its that one, if not please let me know
thanks

Are you running PMS is a Windows VM?

nope, but i do have hyper-V installed for other vm’s. mostly game servers that i try to keep separate

I’m not familiar enough with VM’s to know if having hyper-V running is affecting remote access to PMS. Has it always been running? Can you shut it down temporarily to test?

hyperV has always been running and it was never an issue before, and i even had it on a vm before and i migrated pms out of the vm and it still worked.

Double check your port forwarding. I tried pinging your server but didn’t get a response.

Welp guess it was my router being dumb? i just did a repair on pms, and removed / re added port forwarding, which i thought i did already but now it seems to be staying available. will post an update after a few hours to make sure it stays up.

Plex team, please fix remote access!

Please provide more details. There isn’t a general issue with remote access I’m aware of.

Hi all !! In the past 3 days, my username in general showed an exclamation mark. Tried everything to fix and nothing worked. I just signed out and now I am not able to claim the server. Using Version 1.18.8.2468 on MacOS 10.14.6 . Plex Media Server Logs_2020-03-06_13-36-44.zip (9.2 MB) these are my logs. Please advise how can I fix my server. Thanks.

Since you were able to get the logs I assume you can access your server. So it’s just the claiming part that is failing?

Please turn off verbose logs. Restart PMS, try claiming the server again and get me a new PMS log.

Also, what URL are you using? You can only claim the server with the locally running Plex Web (i.e. 127.0.0.1 or the actual server IP).

Hello again !! I turned off the verbose and restart the PMS. Also I turned off the firewall to be sure it’s not something related to my network. I am trying to claim the server on the local link http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/settings/server/2fd5bac5af291ca1760784efed140384570cef50/settings/general . Plex Media Server Logs_2020-03-06_22-18-15.zip (5.3 MB) these are the logs. Thank you for your kind support.

Every time I am trying the claim server I get this pop up

Ah ok. Do you have a Tidal account linked to your Plex account. If so, unlink and relink it. https://plex.tv/users/other-services

That worked !! Thank you so much for your kind support
