Remote Access - limited IP addresses?

Server Version#: Version 1.19.2.2737

I’d like to share my Plex server with my friend’s house. They have a fixed IP. Is it possible for me to limit exposure of the 32400 port on the internet to certain IP addresses only?

I guess that I will have to include Plex’s public IP addresses so that login and dynamic IP address translation works. Has anyone done this before?

There’s one or two threads where users tried this.
Most pulled back as it means you need to identify every single public IP – including those of your own mobile devices (if you want to use Plex from outside your home network for yourself). This is usually tricky as most of the time you don’t get a static public IP address.

The IP addresses for Plex “workers” are documented… so that part should not be a deal breaker (but you might need to check/update your firewall occasionally if systems are being added.
