Hi, I purchased the Plex Pass for the sole purpose of having remote access. I have tried all the work arounds that are on the Plex support page. I do not have a antivirus firewall, I do not have an active VPN, I do not have a double NAT and the port is already forwarded on my router. So if all of this is not the reason why does it still say NOT AVAILABLE.
Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

You don’t need Plex Pass for remote access. It is free and always has been.
Describe your network set up. describe how you port forwarded. take a screenshot. what router do you have. have you looked at server log after enabling remote access?
I am in Canada, if that makes a difference. I am with Rogers and have a modem/router CGN3 which has UpNp and port forwarding already set up for Plex. No VPN running and I use Bitdefender which I temporarily disabled and still no remote access.
I want to be able to access my content from anywhere on any device. Right now I can only access on devices connected to my home network.
Got the same issue here… and @BigWheel, I was very much under the impression that a Plex Pass was required for remote access to my library when not directly connected to my home network.
@DION1976 , I’m in Toronto using Rogers as well. uPnP is enabled on my router, port forwarding already setup for Plex as well. Getting the same message. No firewalls in place.

I’ve never used a Rogers router (Not in Canada) but some do not allow UPnP and port forwarding done at the same time. Plex will only use one or the other. Did you enable and enter the external port used in the remote access settings? If you take a screen sot of forwarding settings maybe there is just simple I can see that might be wrong.
I can change the title of thread to include something about Rogers. there may be other Canadians in forum that have run into the same thing.

It is checked under free and PP in our comparison grid of features because it does not matter if you have it or not. https://www.plex.tv/features/ (the second item in list “Available Anywhere”) Not sure if you read somewhere it is required for remote access on our site, but if so, and you point it out to me, I can let our marketing folks know
We don’t charge for that because we have no idea if it will work on users networking equipment or not. Some folks have unfortunate situations where it simply will never work because some ISPs just are not any good. or like trying to set it up in a dorm room, work place office, apartment buildings with shared access, or similarly restrictive or weird networking environments
