Question for you all:
My remote access is not working. I just did some digging and realized the following:
I have frontier. The ONT is running 2 lines to my house.
1st line goes to my Netgear Nighthawk which apparently runs the majority of the house
2nd line runs up to a port upstairs where I have an apple airport bridged. I’ve ran a 100 foot CAT5 from the apple to my office where my iMac is and runs my Plex.
I’m unable to access routerlogin.net from my iMac because it’s actually connected to Frontier and has a different IP.
Is the Frontier ONT also a router? If so you likely have a Double NAT scenario. Also you should bridge the Apple Airport into your Netgear and not onto the ONT.
So there is a Fronter ONT that runs the 2 lines. Technically 1 line goes from the ONT to the Frontier router which then goes to the Nighthawk (no other way since we have a cable tv package).
The problem is, the preexisting 2nd wire goes from the ONT through the house from garage to upstairs so there is no way for me to reroute that to come from the Nighthawk.
