I have tried everything, I have disconnected and connected the adapter, I have disconnected the server and it stays spinning, I have uninstalled and put an older version. and it stays like this
from version 36XX it happens to me like this. and I can not find any other solution than to return to a previous version which worked for me Version 1.20.4.3517
After having rebooted more than 5 times trying all the modes, clean registry, check port everything in order the isp does not block it is visible in canyouseeme
install as administrator, open as administrator,
Thank God it occurred to me to disable remote access and enable it again and after 2 minutes turning and turning the ball I was finally able to connect and show the local IP, PUBLIC IP and everything works
Another error I have is that the network adapter with previous versions is disconnected, the adapter has the latest driver. yesterday only the PMS was closed. I hope my logs can be of help to developers.
LOG after install latest Versión 1.21.1.3766 from Version 1.20.4.3517
Same issue here! Plex remote access had been working perfectly for the past couple of years and as soon as I updated Plex today (to version 1.21.1.3766), remote access would connect (show the green arrow) and after 10 - 20 seconds, it would disconnect (show the red exclamation mark).
Had the same Problem when i updated PMS from Version# 1.20.5.3600 to Version# 1.21.1.3766 spent all day trying to figure out the problem I solved it by turning uPnP off on my router and port forwarding a new port to my server and just turned on “Manually specify public port” on my PMS and got remote access back on
Today they released a new version of PLEX, I honestly do not have the confidence of the developers to update the server further. Only with LUCK I can make it work and currently it works although I honestly do not know for how long. I have a lifetime plex pass. And I’d be willing to pay for dedicated technical support. In case any employee responds that it should not demand much because it is “FREE”. I just hope they fix the stability issues because the platform is good, it really is.
I got excited when I saw another update released. I was hoping it would fix the Remote Access problem, but unfortunately, I’m still having the same issue.
I believe I finally resolved my issue. My Avast Premium Security subscription had expired yesterday (coincidently the same day I updated Plex) and when Avast downgraded me to the Free version, Plex remote access started acting up. It would show that I had remote access but as soon as I clicked a different tab, I would see the red exclamation mark indicating that Remote Access wasn’t working. Today, when I updated and added a new subscription to Avast, Plex Remote Access started working again. I’m still not sure exactly why the free version of Avast caused issues with Plex…especially when I even checked windows firewall settings and manually forwarded the port for Plex Remote Access. Hope this ends up helping anyone else with a similar issue and thank you to all that tried to help.
Hello, I have the same problem on imac, the wheel turns, turns green and after a few seconds … red again … I can’t find a solution, has someone managed to repair it? thanks!
P.S. …of course I have the ports open and it has worked for me without problem for years … but now it has stopped working … and I don’t know what to do …
you can try downgrade version if new version don’t fix your problem. find in folder VERSION of PLEX MEDIA SERVER FOLDER root. uninstall plex, clean registry with ccleaner, reboot, and install last stable and functional version for you.
thanks for the answer, but what about my library? I have more than 2000 movies, would I have to add them again manually? If so, would it be crazy … any solution for this?
Thanks a lot.
