Remote Access not working for TV Apps when PMS is running a VPN

Server Version#: Windows 10
Player Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.21.0.3711
I have configured my Plex Media Server for public port 32401
I have supplied a custom server access URL
This URL works perfectly from a PC browser or a cell phone browser
The server remote access setup says: Not available outside your network
the setup shows the correct PC IP and 32400 for private
but it incorrectly shows my public VPN IP and the manually specified public port for public

The public IP used should be the resolved IP of the host name in my custom server access URL not my VPN public IP

It is clear that the PMS software on my windows 10 PC is connecting outbound to plex.tv and then using the IP seen by that target.when it tries to register

When I access via the custom URL from anywhere all is well, but TV and other apps say this server is offline

I am running two PMS instances on my home network, and the ‘non-VPN’ instance is working as expected.

I have the correct port forwarding in place for both How can I get this to work correctly?

Can we just get a “Manually specify public FQDN” option similar to the “Manually specify public port”?

I have a Dynamic DNS already, so I don’t need or want Plex Media Server to check my public IP for me.

Does anyone else have this issue?

It turns out that this is a bug in the browser app: https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/server/

Even though the Settings, Remote Access, shows "Not available outside your network

Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network.", I am still able to access the library from outside sources.
