Remote Access not working when server attached to switch

Remote access to my Plex server has been working fine. Yesterday I changed my wifi router and since it has fewer ports I had to add a small unmanaged switch. When my Plex server is connected directly to the Wifi router remote access and all other functionality works great. If I connect my server to the switch which is connected to the Wifi router, remote access doesn’t work. Everything else works fine. On server settings it says Remote Access is fully accessible, then a minute later say it’s not. The server has a reserved IP. The firewall port is open and port forwarding is turned on. I need the switch because I don’t have enough ports on the router. Any ideas why remote access isn’t working through the switch
It’s a NetGear switch. Are some brands not good for port forwarding?

This issue has been resolved. I swappd my NetGear switch for a Linksys switch and it started working. For some reason the NetGear switch didn’t want to do port forwarding. Thanks.

Hi! I think I’m having the same problem as you, only my NAS is plugged into a TP-Link unmanaged switch. Can you please share the specific Linksys unmanaged switch you purchased? Thank you!

It’s a Linksys - 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch. Picked it up from Best Buy. Hope that helps.
