I’ve shared access to my Nvidea Shield server to a friend. It was working for a few days using Nvidea Shield. My Nvidea Shiled is just used as a server. I have all of my content stored on a QNAP TS-451+ and I have remote access turned on. The QNAP is also running a PMS and I have my router set with 2 open ports one for each server.
Although it was working for a while when he set up his Plex app on his new LG OLED that didn’t work and now none of his are working and returning File Not Found. I can see the errors. I have no issues accessing the QNAP via remote access on my phone directly as a server but I also can’t access the Nvidea Shield. I’ve checked the server and it shows that remote access is available. I also connected a USB HDD directly to the Nvidea Shield and I can access those movies remotely via my phone.
I’m unable to access any of the movies on my NAS from my own Nvidea shield within my own network either but it was working at one point. I don’t think it’s permissions on the NAS as the Nvidea should be no different than my Plex iPhone app directly accessing the NAS which works.
Perhaps this is a firewall issue?
