Remote access streaming Bandwidth capped at 512 Kbps

Hi! I have a plex server at Hong Kong, but I found that the relay stream is limited to 512 Kbps when I am at US. Is there have any limitation for over sea remote access streaming? The video quantity is very bad now.

You might want to look into the troubleshooting support article for remote access. Using the relay means your client cannot create a direct connection to your server, using a relay from Plex instead. That relay is indeed capped (1 Mbps max for free accounts, 2 Mbps for Plex Pass users… again: that’s max numbers).

Is this a new rule? when did Plex start to have max bandwidth for Plex Pass users?

It’s definitely not new.
However… keep in mind this only applies if your remote access is causing the connection is working in indirect mode which means it’s running through Plex and not directly from your client to your server.
Hence it’ll be interesting to verify your remote access settings (considering Plex and your router / home network settings).
