First I am utterly disgusted at the lack of Custer support from plex! I sent a message to one of there “Plex ninjas” asking for help and explaining the situation and also saying I have paid for the plex pass! The response I for was “I never give one to one support, go to the forum and start a thread as we are about community support”. So here I am have to a knee to tech and need all the help I can get! I have snology ds218+ but I cannot access my content on my iPhone even when I am connected to my router! But I need to access my content on the go. I have read all the articles, seen the you tube videos about port forwarding but I cannot get it to work?

Check if the NAS firewall is enabled, and if it’s enabled, make sure you allow connections to it on port 32400 TCP.
Control Painel > Security > Firewall is where you will find it

Hi thank you for the help, found the firewall turned it off still could not get on. And no mention of the port even though it’s set up. I am ready to give up to be fair

Turn off the NAS firewall is not recommend, but for testing purposes it’s ok to leave it off, then you turn it on… It’s better to create an allow rule from ‘any’ to the NAS IP on TCP port 32400.
From ‘any’ will allow Internet access, as you don’t know which IP is going to be used.

How did you set the port forwarding in your router? Do you have a public IP or you are behind a CGNAT?

Note: Don’t post your IP here, just make sure your WAN IP in your router doesn’t start with 10. , 172.16-32, or 192.168.
