Remote Access Issue, Synology Diskstation DS916+

Hi,

I´m trying to enable remote access for my PLEX server which is on a Synology Diskstation DS916+
This is my setup:
PLEX Server Version#: 1.15.6.1079
ISP modem is in bridge mode (to prevent double NAT) as it is connected to a Asus RT-AC5300
Router has NAT and UPNP enabled.
Firewall is active with DOS protection enabled, disabled ping requests.
Diskstation has a static address in DHCP server.
Portforwarding is enabled for TCP-UDP 32400 to the DS916+

Despite all this, I´m still getting that the server is Not available outside your network.
When I enable remote access it say it is possible for 2-3 seconds then it becomes unavailable

I´ve tested with putting the DS916+ in DMZ on the router, disabling the firewall but nothing changes, I still get the short up connection before it fails.

Any and all assistance is very much appreciated.
Let me know if you need logs and how to gather what you need.

If you have port forwarding set up in your router then you need to enter the port you used for the external port in that “Manually Specify public port” field and check the box next to it so the server does not try to use UPnP.

I forgot to specify, that when I portforwarded I had the check mark in that field.
Unfortunately it did not change the end result.

Still say server is not reachable.

Thanks for the tips, I did as you suggested and remote still say unable, however I am able to connect to plex with the android app over cellular connection, so it must be working.

Maybe you can assist with a different question I have.
In the Console on plex I can see that it keeps sending the same message over and over


Anyway to prevent this or is it even a issue?

Hi I hope you might be able to assist on my last issue,

When firewall is active on my NAS it blocks PLEx remote access but only on smart TV and PS4.
It works for Iphone&Android.

When I disable firewall on NAS it works on all devices.

EDIT-
I added the ones here https://support.plex.tv/articles/200931138-troubleshooting-remote-access/ and it seems to be working now,

I´m quite aware that Remote Access it not for local stuff.

The smart Tv and Ps4 is not on the same network or location, so it is remote access that it needs.

You are correct that I did not in detail write that the TV or PS4 was on a different network.
I however would think it to be obvious when it is in the content of a topic about remote access.
