My friend seems can’t see through my server. it’s show as remote connected full accessible outside network, but my friend can’t see through my server only few peoples can (not everyone) I did the port fortwarding correctly. Please some one help me out

“Operating system windows 10 64 bit version”

I’m having the same problem, remote access drops constantly after the 1.13.8.5395 upgrade. This is getting ridiculous, I’m about ready to switch the Emby and stop paying for a Plex Pass. This needs to get fixed immediately! I’ve uploaded my logs, hopefully that will help. Plex Media Server Logs_2018-10-14_06-08-00.zip (3.1 MB)

My server was getting unstable and crashing after a few days. Now it crashes daily - have to End Task on all running tasks and restart the server to get it working again.

Had the same issue, there is defiantly a bug in Plex Server 1.13.8.5395.

Had all kinds of problems with remote access disconnecting/going off-line. For now, I step back to server version 1.13.5.5291. At first it didn’t seem to work, but left it off over night and came back in the morning and all is well.

What I’m guessing is that the server IP address that is sent to Plex’s server, (that tells Plex clients where my server is located) hadn’t updated and so leaving it off over night forced my server to resend the IP info to Plex again. (my IP is static, never has changed.) Not sure why this made a difference?

I think you can do this manually by signing out of you Plex account and then back in, both on the server and client, in that order. I just left if off over night, rather than signing out, after stepping back to an older version of Plex.

A problem with some backend systems (pubsub servers) for plex.tv was identified and fixed on October 14th. These servers are used for the connectivity tests for remote access.

Please restart the server and if problems remain please get me fresh server logs - captured few minutes after loading the server settings page for remote access in a browser and press F5 to refresh the page

Thanks

I have seen your posts in a number of threads requesting info on older versions. I do not believe you posted any logs for your issue. Problems are only resolved from investigating diagnostics and logs. Reverting to old versions does not help solve problems.

The only recent issues were with the plex.tv infrastructure and not a specific version of Plex Media Server

Reverting to an old version may not help the people who code the software, but sometimes it is the ONLY fix that works for the end user, which is what is important considering we are the ones who are paying for a service.

I’ve also noticed a disturbing tend that a lot of posts, even those that do post logs, seems to get lost in the shuffle.

That being said, nobody is perfect and at this time, I still think Plex is the best option/software out there.

I got a ‘free’ copy of WinTV with my Haupage USB tuner, but I like the way Plex organizes tv shows/metadata better, and the grid system is easier to navigate.

PS the remote connection is not the only issue with the new release. PLENTY of people have also been complaining about their DVR tuners not working with the new release…

There is a timeout issue seen mostly on PCIe and USB tuners that came in with version 1.13.8 - a few HD Homerun users have also been affected

I’m having unstable connectivity too, especially after playing music for a while. The music keep shuttering or keep pausing for a long time and resume playing for a few second and pause again. It happened to the music which was playing fine a moment ago. Once this happen, I can’t even play any video. Browsing in Plex will stop responding eventually. Stopping the service and rerun it does not help once this happened.

Btw, I accessed my Plex server using a direct URL, not through plex.tv.
