Remote/Cast Sessions and Plexamp

Recently, the function to use desktop (Windows/Mac) or browser/web instances of Plex not remotely controllable (casting) was removed. Now, only app versions, HTPC, or Plexamp instances can be controlled or cast to.

However, I have noticed that while these removed instances no longer show up listed as Players in desktop or web instances of Plex, they DO still show up in the list of players within Plexamp (but trying to connect to them results in error, of course).

Is this something weird going on with Plexamp, or is it something that needs to be specifically removed in an updated version?

Hmm, I do see one showing up in the list, will check that.

Yeah, I’m able to see the Windows Desktop version as well as any and all web instances from Chrome in the list.

Just an FYI, this is still happening on 4.3.0.
