I don’t have many remote users on my server, but I have one friend who has begun having serious buffering issues that seem to be linked to the 1.42.1 upgrade that I installed after receiving the security update email last week. He is experiencing constant stuttering and buffering across multiple browsers on Plex Web, as well as on the Apple TV, Tizen, and LG Plex apps. We did some troubleshooting for awhile but nothing jumped out as obvious, no settings have been changed on either end, and bandwidth seems to be more than sufficient. This happens on both clients that require transcoding as well as on clients that can direct stream the video.
I tried reinstalling an older version of PMS and his problems appeared to go away. Is it possible something was introduced in this update that could be causing these issues? Are others experiencing similar? Thanks in advance.

I rolled back to v1.41.6.9685 but it actually doesn’t seem to have resolved the issue. I can actually replicate the issue on my own phone now, off wifi so that it’s remotely accessing. @xac14 it does seem to be a similar issue to yours, except even worse. Despite fast.com speeds of 60-70mbps on my mobile network, I now get constant buffering for anything above 2mbps 720p.
Server performance is fine, load averages are normal. Host network speed tests are in the 960-980mbps range. I’ve been running the server on this hardware for the past 10 years or so without issue, so as far as I can tell nothing else has changed. Kind of at a loss as to what to check next.
