Remote for Tautulli iOS App is here!

@grogster Just saw the update. Really appreciate your work! I’m low on funds at the moment so can’t donate much, but if you keep updating and improving the app, I’ll continue to donate just as I do for Tautulli. Thanks again!

Maybe as update for all others if you didn’t see it yet:

Remote for Tautulli iOS App now supports management of multiple servers! The server list and credentials are encrypted stored in the iOS keychain and will be synced to all your devices if you have iCloud keychain sync enabled in the system. Thereby there’s no need to re-connect with Tautulli after switching to a second device.

Other major new features are extended history (streaming details as well as loading more entries if you scroll down) and activity count as app icon badge (requires background fetch enabled in the system).

Have fun!

Still loving the Tautulli app! I was very excited to see the addition of the Apple Watch app, however I can’t seem to get it to work. It pulls over the correct settings, however all it will say is “Nothing is currently being played”… even though several things are being played. Any ideas what’s causing the issue?

Thanks in advance!

@GoSpursGo I figured out the issue and just submitted an update to Apple, should be available the next days

I don’t know what i’m doing wrong, but i can’t connect Tautulli Remote to my Tautulli installation.

Tautulli says “Device registered successfully” after scanning the QR code and i can see the device in the " TAUTULLI REMOTE ANDROID APP" screen, but my iPhone just says TautulliRemote.Core.ServerError-Error 0.).

I just want to use it on my local network, so i don’t have any open ports.

I’m running tautulli 2.1.20.

Any ideas?

Great app…one question is it possible to use the app remotely? If yes how do I configure it to work remotely?

You will need to setup Tautulli to be accessible remotely/externally. Once you have that working then you may need to link your app to Tautulli again so it is using the external URL to get to it.

Hi
Thanks for all your work on this. I’m having an issue connecting from outside of my network. As far as I can tell all settings are as they should be for remote access, I can connect to Tautulli via externalIP:8181 through a browser outside my network and the app works when on my network with Tautulli & PMS. It’s only when outside the network I get ‘Your server is not reachable’. Apologies as I assume you’ve dealt with this before but I’ve yet to find a definitive description to fix. Thanks in advance.

macOS 10.14.3, ios 12.1.2, Tautulli V2.1.26

Make sure IOS app is set for external URL

Hi. Thanks for your input. I previously tried relinking the app but it didn’t work. Whenever I used the QR it always used the internal IP which as far as I can tell can’t be edited in the app once it’s linked. I found that doing it manually did the trick. Thanks again.

I seriously just found out you came out with an ios app finally! haha this is awesome. I purchased it and will continue to support Tautulli as I use it daily and has helped manage my Plex servers with ease.

Thank you! You might be also interested in my other app: Varys for Plex app is here! :slightly_smiling_face:

A suggestion would be at the top of each of the apps have it list the number of streams and the number of direct/transcoded streams like it does on the web interface next to the bandwidth. Extremely handy when quickly checking server loads

Thank you  the app contains a today widget that does exactly this, but I’ll think about this!

The widget is awesome. It only shows plays and conversions though. It would be nice if it showed plays and number of transcodes though.

This is feature already available via Varys for Plex

So you’ve discontinued Remote for Tautulli development to make money. And only for ios, no less.

Exactly. That’s why I recently released iOS 13 optimizations for Remote for Tautulli :rofl:
Btw. my apps are all only for iOS, Remote for Tautulli not available for Android (“Tautulli Remote” for Android is another app, another design, another developer).
