I have Plex Pass. My parents are in their 80’s and I have installed a client on their ROKU - but they have no clue how to find and play content (early onset)… I would like to be able to push content to tem in San Diego from my place in Colorado… I imagine them opening Plex… and me directing content to their screen… Is there a solution for this? Thanks.
There isn’t a way to push content from one location to another, only within the local network.
If there is a computer at their place, you can remote desktop into that computer then cast from Web to the Roku.
Like Spotify Connect, there should be an option to make the plex casting feature work over the network as well (to all devices logged into your account)
Unfortunate. It would be huge if a user could push to any authenticated client… Everyone complains about trying to teach aging parents how to use anything web related… Spend 2 hours walking them though finding and playing a show… And they forget in 15 minutes.
