Some win boxes can’t skip back as well if you try it goes back to the begining not just a few seconds.

Also the tv show(s) via the live tv & dvr (when playing a show) do not have the “Forward 30 sec” button active, it is always grayed out. Playing recorded shows and movies the fast back and forward woks fine. Just the “live tv & dvr” has the failure.
And the “live tv & dvr” playing you can use the “Back 30 sec” it works. but if you atempt to back up with the mouse click on the time bar it goes all the way to begining no mater where you click on the bar. ARE there setting or regestery settings that conrol this type of actions?
Give me a 1,2,3 steps to get the Logs you requested. I have programed in several languages (C,C#. VB, .NET and others) for 20 years. So Tech talk is fine. Please let me know!

sorry. here is info on how to get logs from the Plex desktop player. Does the can’t skip forward issue only happen in that app? or does it happen in any other?
It happends only in the "Live TV & DVR on my server and other systems in my private network.
I do not share with others yet and I only have windows boxs that all run the current version of the player. I do have Roku boxes and the work fine.
I forgot to ask. Can you not skip forward while it is actively paused, or are you hitting play again after a bit and that is when it goes back to beginning? Just trying to understand steps to repeat for bug report

Im hitting play again after a bit and that is OK and plays BUT…
Anytime I use the mouse to try to skip forward then it goes back to beginning.
The “30 sec” icon is always grayed out.
Also the [Skip Forward] icon never lights up, it is always disabled. Recordings it works find but the failures are happening durring LIVE TV play. Durring LIVE PLAY I can backup using the [Skip Back] icon. Any use of the MOUSE brings the player back to the begining of the LIVE PLAY. Again the recordings play fine and controls work 100%.
Please get back to me as this has been going on for months now.

Well, I would like to get the process to completely remove PLEX server from the Windows box and the reinstall. As well as how to reattach the current saved movies and TV shows. My only other alternative is to dump PLEX and go with something else. All this issue is doing is infuriating my wife. (not good!) This setup is local and private only. not otherwise shared in any way. (Just an FYI.)
I just don’t want to loose what is already recorded. I don’t know how to preserve what is already recorded and under PLEX control. I don’t what to make any assumptions about the task, I would like to follow the proper procedure and reinstall the libraries and see if that fixes the issue.
