Remote shared library not working?

I recently started using plex. My setup is a remote server with PMS running and my account connected to. This account shares librarys so friends and familymembers.

I installed Rasplex on RPi and connected it to my account. Everything is working fine and expected.

Now I wanted to install a similar setup for my family. I installed Rasplex on their RPi and connected their plex account with that. Their plex account has access to my shared library (working fine in browser). The problem is: On the rasplex they cant see anything shared by me. Is this supposed to be like that? If I try to login with MY account on their RPi everything is working fine. Appereantly only the account connected to the server directly can stream remote content :/

 

Atm my only idea is to setup a VPN on the remote server for my family and friends to connect to, so they are in the same 'local' network. Is this a good idea? Is there a better? Is this even possible? Thanks in advance!

Are you looking in the Shared Content menu?  That's where shared libraries will show up.

I was looking for this kind of menu but was unable to find it. Maybe I just searched in the wrong place. Will check again tonight.

okay. I am at home now. Logged into an account that is in the shared list of my server. I am not in the same network as the server is. I cant see the shared library neither a "shared library menu". Could you help me? I enabled "search for remote librarys" but that wont work either. What am I doing wrong?

anybody help? I am still unable to see this shared content menu. What am I doing wrong? Is there anyting to notice/configure?
