Hello, I’m new to this and am having an issue with my friends accessing my shared libraries. Everything seems to look good on my end inside my home network. I can also access everything when outside my network using multiple devices to test it out. But my wife created an account and although she accepted my invitation all she can see is the thumbnail. When she tries to click the thumbnail to open the library nothing happens.
Same thing happened with my cousin, but then he paid for the plex pass and was able to access the library. Am I missing something here or do all your friends have to pay for the plex pass? Or maybe a setting I have to adjust?
I don’t have much information to give other than I’m running the server on a Raspberry Pi 4 and I also have a plex pass.
If you have Settings - Server - Remote Access enabled, and it’s green then you’re all set.
If not, you’ll likely have to do some manual port forwarding from your modem/router to the server (make the external port work manually because automatic failed)
At this point, if this can be repeated and then the log files downloaded from PMS within a few minutes of the attempt, that info will be viewable.
For us Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs will give you a ZIP file.
Simply attach that ZIP file here (upload) with your reply.
Thanks for the reply. Whatever the problem was, it seemed to fix itself. Though for some people it seems like they have to log out (after their first log in) and then log back in for everything to work.
Also, one more question if you don’t mind. Is there a limit on how many people you can share a library with? I basically set this up for my daughters soccer team so that parents can view and download pictures of the games. Right now I have just under 40 contacts for the team so I wouldn’t think that would be a problem.
