I am trialling the remote watch pass feature, i dont have a plex pass and need to access my server remotely, unfortunately doesnt seem to work from my phone, am i missing something important in the settings? is the Remote Watch Pass assigned to each devise or user as i have family members that use multiple devices.
On what app/client are you experiencing this?
Which Plex apps/platforms will be affected by this remote streaming change?
The changes and limitation to remote streaming of personal content will affect users of apps that offer our new Plex experience (once they’re released). In the short term, platforms running an app that has not yet received an update to our new experience will not be affected. It’s possible that future system changes may affect even users who have not updated to an app offering our new Plex experience.
I am using a PC. friends can connect to my server but the quality is an issue, only shows in SD. i cannot connect to me server from my phone when outside my home wifi.
Not too sure a plex pass will fix this..
Sounds like there might be an issue with your remote access setup or a restriction causing this limitation (e.g. client app configured to lower remote quality or server restriction for remote streaming).
