Removed album still shows up in library

Usually when I remove a folder in Windows (containing a music album, movie or tv series) and hit the Scan library option the item disappears from the library. It still does with my TV series library, but since a few weeks not with music albums. They are still displayed and give a playback error when I hit play (of course). But why don’t they disappear anymore? I’ve downloaded logs but no errors to be found. Something is not updating correctly. I checked, it only happens to this specific library.

New items show up like before after scanning, so no problem there.

I’ve got the latest server update and have not changed any settings recently… I watch and listen to content through Plex in my browser.

A similar trick to the Plex Dance:

Create a folder in that music directory and name it _temp, using an underscore makes it easier to find as it becomes the first folder on top.

Go to you library’s sub menu, shown below.

Select Scan Library Files first.

After that’s been completed, go back to the submenu and select Empty Trash. You can delete the underscored folder that you made once your changes have been reflected in the Library.

I clicked all options in the sub menu at least once and removed a wrong folder for my music database that was also in there (next to the right one) and now it works again as it should!
