Removing the files in the Cache\Sessions\Plex-transcode-xxxxxxxxxxx folder

I was looking for a large folders in my users folders and found this:
C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Cache\Transcode\Sessions\plex-transcode-7048E09B-A1F6-47A9-A43B-5473835BDBB9-0e6ddba7-35b4-444c-9234-339b0203xxxa
folder with 23 GB. They are from 4 months ago and I don’t just want to whack them if there is a preferred way to clean them up inside the app. Running the most current Plex Media Server. I have Plex setup to do maintenance (I thought till i found these) Whats the preferred way to clean this folder up? Thanks, Bill

Look in the log files of your anti virus if it locked this folder.
Maybe it is a good idea to exclude the transcode folder from your A/V in general, so it doesn’t interfere.

You can also feeed one of the leftover file chunks into VLC, so see which title it is. Maybe this can give you a hint of the cause why it wasn’t removed automatically. Maybe you remember who started this playback.

Shut down the server software, then clean out the \Sessions folder.
Restart the server.

Thank You! That did the trick. -Bill
