Repeatedly logged out

Server Version#: 1.24.5.5173
Player Version#: 1.1.0.2156-96d995e9

Every time I start up Plex HTPC after a reboot I am asked to login again. I do not know what is logging me out and I can’t seem to find any setting regarding login sessions. It is only specifically this client too, I never get asked to re-login on my other machine running the HTPC client

Not really sure what else I could look into or maybe it’s an admin permissions issue?

Did you activate some kind of “kiosk mode” on this computer? i.e. something which “freezes” the app data folders and/or resets them back to a defined state after a reboot?

The login is stored in the data folder of Plex HTPC. If this folder is erased (or some files in it are set to be read-only) then login info cannot be retained inbetween sessions.

Did you do anything “weird”, like “Run as Administrator” or similar techniques?

Another idea: does this device have a battery-buffered real time clock (RTC) inside? Most “PC” type device do, but some particularly cheap ones don’t.
After each startup, you will have to wait until the time synchronization over the internet (which is enabled, I hope) has finished setting the correct time.

If the device does indeed have a battery inside, check if it’s depleted and replace with a good-brand battery. (don’t use those cheap ones, they’re often utter crap)
