I figure since ljunkie is now a member of the plex staff we won't be getting any more updates to the rarflix app, and so I will need to transition to the official roku app...
I can live with all of the missing features in the official app EXCEPT the miussing grid view for movies / tv shows. With a large library, browsing through a row of "All Movies" is a huge pain. PLEASE bring the grid view to the offical app, maybe as an option to toggle the view type like in rarflix.
Agreed. It acutally used to be a grid covering the entire screen. It somewhat recently switched to a single row. It takes me like 15 minutes to scroll through all my movies. It is unbearable. I cannot figure out the thought process behind that UI change.
If you're referring to the 3.0.6 update with "Grid style options (advanced preferences)"... I run plextest on my roku and that is just a selection for the display on the home screen (new mixed aspect with left focus, or the original home screen with the center focus). I believe in rarflix the feature I'm talking about is call "full grid view"
Using the Plex Test Roku channel as well. It is a "grid" technically, but each row is a separate sorting of the same movies. First row is all movies, second or might be recently added, next might be sorted by release date. To actually browse all movies you're forced to click through them all one at a time moving from left to right. What I think xomnia wants is for the entire screen to display the movies in a given list, rather than a single row.
Would like to put in my vote for the proper grid view.
Have been using Rarflix for my main channel for quite some time now "specifically" for this reason.
Like many as I would suspect, way to many movies to do the left to right scroll...its just silly.
This feature is a part of Rarflix an now that IJunkie is working for them (an as such RARFlix has been left behind), just don't understand why it can't be incorporated???
IE: is shown it can be done, there is someone there who knows how to do it, so whats the hold up?
Obviously if someone wants the old way, then they can just leave it, so its not like its taking anything away from them.
