How about revamping the iOS and Android apps remote portions to turn into a second screen along with the remote? In other words, when I use my iOS app to control my player another device such as my Mac could we make the app automatically turn into a second screen and display in addition to a remote, some of the following:
- Meta data such as synopsis, actors, directors and other iMDB info
- an integrated web browser so when I click on one of the above I can get more info from the web
- Social Media integration so I can post what I'm watching to Facebook or Twitter (that could also grow interest in Plex)
- Remote functions (of course have the remote integrated so it's all in the same area)
- Change audio, subtitles on the fly
- Look up info for the next show in the series. Maybe when the TV show ends, prompt to play the next one
The list can go on and on, but I think it would be cool to use a second screen when using Plex HT. Anyone agree?
