i use plex media server on my synology ds713+ and it runs very well. i have set up one folder for movies and a second for tv shows. plex media server search every hour for new movies and tv shows and updates my library - this works very well. now i want to add a second folder for movies and for tv shows from my external esata raid connected to the diskstation. the esata raid only runs, when i browse or watch movies from it. after that it goes to standby. so when i add an esata folder to plex media server, it also search every hour and wake up the raid. is it possible to deactivate searching for the esata folders?
if you have shell access you could turn off the update in plex then use the terminal commands to make your own scripts via cron or whatever synology has to schedule updates for specific sections. if folders form both palces are in the same section then i don't think it is possible
I would like this function to. To give the sections unique update schemas. You could fix it as stated above but I want it in the web interface. not some hack that you forget about in a couple of months, and wonder why your new sections doesn’t work properly
I would love tho have the automatic update working. But on my system it doesn’t. Might have something with the rar2fs to do. Complete reinstall of plex doesn’t solve it… this is not the support forum… japp it
