I currently use plexamp for all of my music listening on my phone but on my desktop I’ve been using Foobar forever. The way I have foobar set up is it shuffles though whole albums (same as plexamp’s random album radio) but if I don’t want to listen to the current album I can press a button that I have hotkeyed on my keyboard to skip to the next random album. I have been working from home for about 15 years and I have music playing almost non-stop, this is how I’ve been doing it the whole time.
With plexamp I discovered that you can long press or right click on the “next” button and it will skip to the next album, however as far as I can tell there is no way to set a global shortcut key for that function. I realize a very small amount of people would actually take advantage of this but it sure would allow me to transition over to plexamp full time.
