Request: Report critical bugs

We’re getting closer to the public release. With that in mind, if there are any critical issues that you’re having with the app, please report them now.
Please use the latest version (3.0.29).

Thank you!

Biggest remaining critical issue for me is still the standby battery drain.

What I notice is that plex seems to start and run as a background process after the computer is put to sleep. This causes a couple things to happen. When sleeping, plex is constantly running in the background, not allowing the computer to really go to that deep sleep state, which obviously drains battery. And the drain seems to originate from Plex.Tasks.AudioPlayerBackgroundTaskRunner

The other side effect is that whenever I can see plex running as a background process in task manager, when I go to actually run Plex, it shows the selection screen to choose a user, them immediately crashes to desktop. At that point the background process disappears, and on the next run I am able to select a user and actually use the app.

Been working a bit with @pombeirp in this thread http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/221553/connected-standby-battery-drain but I have confirmed via a sleep study that it is still occuring on the latest version 3.0.29

Thanks. We’re aware of this, and are working with Microsoft to try solve it.

It looks very nice and lots of love being put in making it but I have too many disconnecting from server,… (and I guess) it’s because it may be that it is in beta and collecting information and sending back. I don’t know if the connection maybe due to my Norton internet security doesn’t like its behavior and that will change when it starts to behave as a normal program or if it’s a real bug. The other Plex apps don’t disconnect. That’s why I use OpenPHT more when I’m watching a long movie that I want no interference with.

But you guys doing great work on the windows side. Lots of love lol =D>
