Resolution problem on Samsung SMART TV

Hi everyone,
i am a newbie into “Plex world”

I configured my server on Ubuntu, and i activated remote access
to view my library on my phone and samsung smart-tv.

The movies and series in my library have this mediainfo:

INFO RIP:
Risoluzione: 1440 x 1080
Video: Codec x264
Framerate: 25 fps
Audio: AC3 ITA 2Ch 384 Kbps, AC3 ENG 2Ch 384 Kbps
Sottotitoli: Italiano Forzati [srt], Italiano [vobsub]
Crop: 240,0,-240,-0
Errore AR: /
Filtri: Trim, FillMargins, BalanceBorders, SMDegrain(tr=1, thSAD=180)

But from my Plex server console,
i see that the video was converted:

1080p (HEVC Main) -ORIGINAL RESOLUTION
SD (H264)—Conversion- SMART TV/ MOBILE RESOLUTION

I changed the Plex default settings,
regarding automatic conversion (unchecked) ed
I updated the resolution parameters both on the Server and on the Smart-TV, setting them to maximum definition.

The smart-tv is connected by Wifi, with very good latency/ upload fast.

Anyone can help me?
i bought plex pass, but it’s very useless for this problem.

Thanks.

Are you sure remote access is setup properly? From your server check the playback information from the dashboard while that video is playing. See what the connection type looks like. If it says “Indirect”, then remote access is not working and instead using Plex Relay which limits the quality.

Hi man thanks for your reply.

I see, on my mobile phone is “INDIRECT”
and on my TV the same.

How can i change this value?

Indirect means your remote access isn’t setup properly. You can try our troubleshooting guide to see if that helps or points to the problem. Troubleshooting Remote Access | Plex Support
