I’ve noticed a little bug in PMS Version 1.7.2.3878 (which I am running on Windows 10, and I am casting to a chromecast).
I’ve been able to reproduce this multiple times. If I stop an episode of a show, and then go back to restart it (with having stopped plex and having to recast it to television) … when I click the “resume at xx:xx time”, it starts back up at the beginning of the episode.
The same thing occurs when I try to start episode from my iPhone (build 10637 / beta). From the iOs app, I am using the “resume at xx:xx” option, as well.
I’m not overly concerned about this, but wanted to report this to the support team.
i’m having this same issue. Using a PC media player this doesn’t happen but if i’m casting to chromecast, it always starts from the beginning. I’ve also noticed that since the latest update, watching shows, movies etc from the web interface (i.e chrome, web browser) that it tends to just stop streaming. (Wont buffer ahead) and the ring just keeps spinning.
I’m using a Win 7 laptop through multiple Roku (4) and have something of a similar issue. Only on certain movie files I can watch to any random point without issue. If at any point I stop and then try to restart the file won’t reload from xx:xx as I request, instead it starts from the beginning. I’ve found a few of these thus far but found no correlations like file type. Any suggestions? Just updated to latest pc version last night as well to no avail.
I’m having the same issue watching videos on my TV via my Roku. I’ll rewind back, say, 5 minutes, but when I hit “Play”, the video restarts from the beginning. There seems to be no way to fast-forward to get back to where I was, either. No matter what I do, it goes back to the beginning of the video. This just started the day before yesterday. It’s very frustrating, as it’s been working fabulously up until now.
