Plex starts playing from last location even if I choose 'from beginning'

I am posting this here initially as I don’t know whether it is a server, client or chromecast issue. The client is Chrome Browser.

I have only noticed in the last week or so but wanted to ensure consistancy before posting but even if I select Start from beginning on a partially played episide it will play from where it was last watched to and I’ll often have to get up again and click to the beginning if I need to.

I haven’t seen similar threads posted later than a year ago when it seemed to be the other way round.

Anyone else gettign the same thing?

So, this bug still exists. It would be good to move it so.

Yeah, it’s better then mine that randomly buffers (gets stuck) then when I stop and play again it starts from the beginning even though I’ve watched half the movie or more.

Seems they are having many issues with chromecast that are being ignored. At least I can now see the faces of people on android and have a new play button…
