Restrictions - content ratings and/or labels

Is this the expected behaviour for restrictions on content filters and labels.

I have a home user who is allowed TV-G, TV-Y, TV-PG content ratings and I have also allowed a label “Approved 10+” which is on selected content which does not match the content ratings.

Should they be able to see all content matching the content ratings plus the content with the “Approved 10+” label? If yes, then its not working as expected. I’ve applied the label to the TV Show level, which is the only place it can be done.

When setting the restrictions up on the user it implies its an or of the two values.

Only allow TV shows matching the ratings or labels below.

No, those restrictions are AND not OR. So you’ve restricted them only to movies with those ratings AND with the label Approved.

Thanks @anon18523487 for the quick response. If that was the case then they shouldn’t see anything, but they can see the TV shows with the content ratings as above, but they cannot see the TV show with the label Approved. It doesn’t appear to work as you describe either.

The Home User has the following restrictions:
Content Ratings: TV-G, TV-PG, TV-Y
Label: Approved 10+

They can see 4 TV shows matching the content ratings, but those 4 shows do NOT have the label Approved. So it’s not applying an AND.

It would be good to have a bit more flexibility in how these restrictions are applied. Essentially it’s just building a SQL query against the database.

Ok, problem solved. Updated original posts with actual Label names. The issue is with the “+” character in the label. Using a label without the "+ it works as expected. The content ratings and labels are worked out as an OR.
