Is there anyway I can disable the reviews from displaying in the Roku Preview app?
Thanks.
Is there a setting Iâm missing?
agreed⊠how to remove/disable the annoying reviews
Just noticed this after updating to the latest app / server version. Do not want.
YepâŠ
Q: Why do I need âReviewsâ for material Iâve selected and added to MY Server MYSELF?
A: I donât, but those will come in handy (for some) when âPay Per Viewâ comes to Plex.
A User Control would be nice so I wouldnât have to wade through useless hazards to navigation while trying to see the cast and crew (for instance).
Welcome back @JuiceWSA!
I donât mind them so much. I just donât like where they are. I want to put them at the most bottom spot, below the actors/writers/director search list.
@juicewsa - though not helpful for your own server - they might be helpful when viewing others. (I have feeds from 2 other friends, and share with ~20 friends/family)
Iâll agree with that, but speaking of âserversâ and only having âoneâ, along with being beaten over the head with unwanted features that get in the way of wanted features, why is it I have to be asked every dam time I want to exit; if I really want to exit or would I just like to change servers I have only one of?
Why does an actor search (by clicking his/her picture) only search that one of my 23 libraries? Speaking of those âPicturesâ why, in all this time, has not ONE employee or leadership figure done the most basic of âtweeksâ by changing the âovalsâ to ârectanglesâ so their heads arenât cut off? Does anyone developing Plex actually use it?
Why must I drill in to each and every item to get the most basic of info, like the episode name and run time, that only a few short weeks ago was so easily viewable?
Does Plex not know reduced functionality when they see it?
I donât hate UNO, but in true Plex fashion they get it almost there and quit. Not much ever changes, eh?
Tell me how you really feel?
You can infer what you like out of that, but how I âfeelâ is pretty much what a lot of Plex Users feel and that feeling is underwhelmed, but not at all surprised.
Iâd like to have a different feeling. Wouldnât you?
Unfortunately, as time goes on and on with those promised âimprovementsâ in the same bin as the last promised âimprovementsâ (a box labeled: Good Intentions - to be used on the Road to Hell Paving Project) the underwhelmed feeling will be replaced by another feeling Plex isnât all that unfamiliar with among itâs users.
Is there any way to turn these off?
Man, that would be something to behold, yea?
This just continues to irritate, like a hot boil that ainât near ready to bust.
Youâre watching a movie or show, you have this âWho is that guyâ moment you just canât shake until finally you bail for a quick check - and are met with as many as SEVEN forced feature fields between the play button and the first actor image, including having to wade through unwanted Reviews!
I donât care if youâre the CTO, or a lowly Peon in the Plex ranks, that right there is NOT the way to design that and if anybody cared it would have been fixed long ago.
As far as Iâm concerned UNO on Roku should be the UNO Flagship (I hear UNO on ATV4 is pretty good too) and it should be poured over with a fine toothed comb to make it the best it can be - that isnât being done.
The Plex for Windows team got it right on the first try:
Got some sort of âPlex-flixâ service in the latest update, but the unwanted reviews are still there.
Indeed, but at least they are under the Actor Images and as such are rarely seen.
Hmmm. When I look now, they are below the actors ⊠I could swear they were at the same old spot when I first checked after the update.
Would still prefer more control over where / whether they show up, but this is better than before.
