Right-To-Left Summary Problem

Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171

There’s basically this problem: Right to Left capabilities
which seems like was never fixed, where the text is RTL, but numbers and punctuation is shown at the start of the line instead of the end and vise versa.

A solution I found, is use to use RLM which I add using pasting into Subtitle Edit, using the “fix RTL via Unicode control characters” under option “Edit” (which just adds the RLM character I mentioned) and then paste it back to summary.

This process is really tedious though, especially for series with multiple seasons and summary for each episode.

This same problem also occurs for titles and taglines that start / end with numbers or punctuation. For example, an episode title is named: “מה חדש, בואנוס איירס?” instead of “?מה חדש, בואנוס איירס”
It also happens for seasons / episodes count.
For example when a TV show has 3 seasons, it says under the poster “עונות 3” instead of ‫"3 עונות"

Would be very grateful if you could add this RLM fix for RTL languages (in my case, Hebrew) in one of the next updates.

@OttoKerner Wrote over a year ago the he “filed that as a bug”

I would be very happy to know what is the update?

Another kind-of-related thing I noticed, is whenever there’s a {\an8} tag (itmakes the subtitles show on top instead of at the bottom) in Hebrew subtitles, Plex reverses the punctuation on the line in the same way I mentioned in the post.

When I play the same subtitles on mpv, it doesn’t happen. Only on Plex.
Those subtitles use the RLM character I mentioned in OP to make the subtitles show in RTL correctly. Could it be that Plex ignores the RLM character whenever there’s an {\an8} tag for some reason?

@OttoKerner could you pleas re-file this bug or something?
It was never fixed, and it should be a really simple fix with the RLM char. I currently do it manually and it fixes it, but having to edit each movie and episode manually to fix it gets kind of annoying.
