Roku audio transcode buffering mid-show and then fails

When playing some shows on Roku it gets about 10-15 mins into the show and then it buffers to 33% then fails saying my server is too slow or something like that. My server is fine when it comes to performance as is my network.

It doesn’t happen when using chromecast or the app on my hisense tv. It only happens when playing on Roku.

I’ve tried to “force direct play” but one of my shows has 2 audio streams (english AC3, spanish AAC) and it won’t play the English stream. However, when testing the direct stream doesn’t buffer and then fail so I’m putting it down to the transcoding of the AC3 audio (to AAC).

I’ve attached my logs but I don’t understand them so I’m hoping someone can help me out here to troubleshoot.
