Roku client reloading last played on every launch

Run Plex on Roku on 3 different TVs. My Roku 4 client has a weird issue. If your watching a movie or TV show and hit the home button back to the roku home screen, when you click on Plex the next time, it loads up whatever show or movie you were watching when you left. This is incredibly annoying. I have deleted the Plex app, reinstalled and reset the roku to factory and set back up. It’s still an issue, but only with this single client. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to fix it?

I think that’s because of some new Roku functionality enabled by the new firmware.

From the Roku Announcements for 6.6.14:

  • Disable auto-resuming content when channel is resumed. (9.4 firmware)

You can install the Preview channel on your Roku with the release Client and test if this fixes your problem.
