Roku ultra.
Server is on a mini-PC Windows 11. I use this setup with a 5 TB external drive to bring movies to the grand-kids every Wednesday. Should be noted that at home (wifi connection) my Roku (same model and player version) works just fine with this mini-PC Plex server.
I was having trouble with the Roku connecting to the Media Server and decided to delete the Roku app and reinstall. After reinstall, “My Media” says something to effect, go to such and such site (a Plex site and get the media server), i.e. it does not “see”: the local, via ethernet, media server any longer. I tried multiple times to sign-out then sign-in with no changes Also, at some point, I did clear the suggested registry entries, which did resolve not being able to open the media server player and see the local movie files, but did not fix this problem of the Roku not seeing the Plex Server.
Oh, yeah, the plex media server does not list the local Roku in question as a recognized device.
Any suggestions?
