I have a Roku on the same network as a Plex Server. I have two Plex servers, one remote and one on the same network. The Roku can see the remote server not the local one. The web client can see both, just not the Roku.
There is in the settings an option to allow insecure connections on the local network. That should be in settings in the web app under network settings I think.
There is also a similar setting in the Roku app.
You may need to enable that in both the server and on the Roku.
I do not know for sure but that is the kind of thing that often can cause problems with Roku, and other clients, when secure connections are required.
Thank you for your suggestion Elijah. I was able to resolve the issue by going to the local server (the one that would not show up on the Roku) and remove the server from Devices>Servers. Then I logged out of the Plex, and logged back in and claimed the server . Once I did all that, it took a bit for the Roku to catch up, but it did in a couple of hours.
