My Roku Express+ will reboot during playback of TV shows. It doesn’t crash and boot me back to the Roku menu… it actually makes the Roku reboot. I have two Roku Express+ devices and they both do this (one is an older version, the other is a 2019 or 2020 version).
I’ve played with various settings on the Roku, including enabling/disabling direct play. I can’t reproduce this reliably other than knowing it is likely to happen at some point in the day (doesn’t seem to be a particular media file that triggers it).
