Roku: How to disable Subtitles display for just Live TV?

Server Version#: 1.18.9.2571
Player Version#: 6.4.12

If the Roku subtitles mode is ON, subtitles are shown for Live TV. If I set this to OFF, the subtitles are not displayed however they are also not displayed for my MKVs with SRT subtitles. Is there any way to disable subtitles for just Live TV as it is not practical to expect my family members to manually keep toggling this setting?

Is there any way to do this or is constant toggling necessary?
