FYI I just saw this on the Roku forums - “HEVC file playback issues with OS 15.0.4 since this issue affects HEVC file based playback in ANY/ALL apps (RMP, Plex, Jelly, Emby, etc)”
I’m fairly certain I’m having the same problem with Disney+ streaming. Can’t be 100% certain of course, but some of the issues are looking similar.
Roku forced an update yesterday. It’s still 15.04 but was build 5526 and now it’s 5531 and they’re saying it should fix the problem.
It so far seems to have worked for me after several tests.
So check for updates to Roku, double check for plex updates and if you lowered your settings like most of us did make sure you set them back to normal and give it a shot.
I was testing on my Roku as well last night - I’m also now on build 5531.
It looks like it has sorted out my issues as well.
Hi all! First - a HUGE thanks to everyone who jumped in here and provided data and information. This has been a huge help.
Second - we have been in touch with Roku regarding this item. The good news is that this does appear to be resolved in the latest update (5531). While I don’t have any specifics to provide here (we simply have no messaging or information to share other than Roku has confirmed the support requests and has the collected information) what we would suggest is that anyone still experiencing tis issue please check your OS version and attempt to request a software update to see if that helps resolve this one for you.
