Plex server is on a Windows 10 ver 1909 with four Hauppauge digital tuners. Server library is a WD 8TB NAS. Recordings are stored and served out to all devices without a problem except for the Roku Plex TCL TV device.
Watching a recorded show or a live show sometimes the video content stops or hangs. Audio continues and the gold progress bar usually goes to the end of the show. I think it has to do with the off air channel digital drop outs. When one of the drop outs occur the video stops moving forward (hangs) but audio continues to move forward (playing). The only fix I have found it to press the play/pause button the Roku remote a few times until the gold progress bar returns to the approximant correct place. Then step back (rewind) 5 seconds to view the missed video content.
My thinking is the the Roku Plex player can’t handle or loses it’s place on the video track. So it just stops or hangs at the digital off-air drop out or interference. The TV screen show the drop out as empty picture content or digital break up. TV antenna signals are strong. The stations seem to have these drop outs sometimes. There are very few drop outs but I must pay very close attention the show I am watching or else it might stop while I am only listening.
Plex player for a windows 10 computer for example playing the same content will not stop at the same drop out. The computer player keeps playing. Same for my Android phone.
Any suggestions to solve the player hanging or stopping?
Sorry if I did not make myself clear. I need help with the Plex app on a Roku TV. What is the best way to get help my above problem?
