Roku Preview 6.8: Live TV Guide issues

Just got the 6.8 update to the Roku Preview channel. Love the new updates to the Live TV On Plex section. A few comments:

1. On the Plex Channels tab some channels are duplicated in the list. Stories by AMC is in the first two rows and both say “Showville” is playing but first row says 5:34pm to 6:22pm and second row says 5:22 to 6:12. Same with IFC films picks. Each one can be set as a favorite like they are separate channels and they have slightly different icons also but both are titled “IFC Films Picks”.

2. I like being able to save favorites but I also used to be able to hide channels I don’t watch. Can that be added back?

3. It’s difficult to get back to the tab picker at the top if you have scrolled down the channel list a while. Not sure if there is an easier way to do that.

I like the new look too however I am seeing screen tearing happen when in the preview tv guide while a channel is playing. The preview in the top right stutters and tears.

Really would like to see the channel number incorporated into the new UI. Some people know the channel by number not logo. Keep up the work, users appreciate it!

They said over on my post that they are gonna figure out how to include the channel number in the new guide and have it still look good.

On the new PLEX PREVIEW app the Live TV channels not in order anymore? And there are no channel numbers?

I’ve found the issue. We should have an update with the fix in Preview by Monday. We’re also looking at how to best integrate the channel number into the new design, so hopefully something should be coming for that soon.

My issue is with the Live TV on Plex (not the DVR).

I believe that’s intentional to allow more chances and options to watch, i.e. there’s not only one thing on for the ‘channel’ and it’s not all starting at the same time.

Just to clarify the hiding channels aspect…there is a way in all other clients to hide channels. It looks like that was moved into server settings under Live TV personalize. Would like the Roku client to pickup those settings so I can hide channels again.

With the 6.8.4 Roku app the plex channels tab is still ignoring the customization settings for channels. The other clients show the channels in the order set on the server and dont display hidden channels.
