I run plex media server on a Synology NAS. 4 internal HDDs and 2 USB external drives. All the drives have a number of movie files on. one of the USB drives has totally failed. That in itself was not an issue as when I logged into plex it showed the files on the failed drive as unavailable so started a list to rip them from blu ray. However, I updated plex today and in doing so it updated the database which is no longer showing the unavailable files.
Is there any way I can roll back to the previous database to see the unavailable files?

Check your server settings. If you have this enabled, you can just take one of these backups, rename it, and copy over the old one.
