Hi,

I am using since a year the combination Digital Devices Sat-IP Server → XTeVe → Plex but it’s not working like it should. Some Issues:

  • only one audiostream → ffmpeg Problem
  • loading time into a channel is like 15-20s
  • XTeVe keeps channel used for ca. 1 minute after stop requesting from Plex

For example I can access directly through a m3u list to the Sat-IP Server via the Android App TiViMate and it works good with 2-3s loading times. There I can also switch between the audio streams.

I know that the tuner is not supported, but why Plex does not support DVB-S Tuners officially? I live in Italy and get the most of the german channels from Astra 19.2, so I cannot put a HDHR in the setup. Plex finds my Sat Server and also finds channels but it cannot play them because RTP-Streams are not supported.

Why is it not possible to implement RTP Support so that much more Servers can be implemented directly into the system to fully support the Plex features?
