Hi,
ihave 19,2 Astra, and i want to add tvhedend as SAT>IP Device.
Plex shows me the tuner, in channel search i see that TVH is working, but it dont find any channels. Maybe because of the wrong settings?

Hi,
same issue here.
Plex log attached.
Hi,
I don’t think TVH as SAT>IP Server is working. You can try minisatip, with the latest fixes that Cata merges it worked here for me wit DVB-C (have no SAT dish though).
Cheers

Hi,
Another option is to use tvhProxy - works very well and has been very stable.
I’m running a Plex server with tvhProxy against a Tvheadend which is connected to a SAT>IP server (Grundig DSI-400). The reason for this is that the SAT>IP has both Astra 19.2 and 28.2 but Plex is not able to “issue” the Diseqc command to change satellite position.

Kim

Interesting. What kind of DVB-C tuner are you using for your SAT>IP setup?
I’m still trying to get Plex to recognize the included DVB-C tuners that’s inside of my AVM Fritzbox hardware.
Hi,
sorry for late reply, I accidentally unsubscribed from notifications and was no on the forum for weeks I realized …
I use an OctopusNet A8 tuner box. For testing I have a WeTek Play 1 box with a custom image that runs Minisatip or a VM on my QNAP and my EyeTV Diversity USB Stick that I map into the VM.
Try minisat, it can ‘forward’ other Sat>IP Servers, so as minisat can be scanned by Plex, you could give it the FritzBox as a source… Alternatively you could look into TVH as in-between and utilize the Proxy (or antennas, which I nowadays run in a docker container to make life easier).
Cheers
Alex
