Nevermind, had I waited just 30 seconds I would have fond the answer. Turns out it was to do with my pre-roll video as mentioned here

How was the pre roll clip defined ?
I had the same exact problem described by @thatsnasty. I could choose “skip” in the Plex Web App and it would play. I then saw the solution as removing the movie pre-roll video and that solved my problem as well. My pre-roll video was defined as follows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRTPtM1N-Cc
I had mine defined the ‘old way’, which from memory was you navigate to the item you want played and then copy the browser link. But that seems to have changed at some point and the error started.
So I have the same issue for just one movie. I have re-ripped the movie four different times with adjusting settings each time and still the same result. Any help would be appreciated.
